Just had my AC recharged in my 86 syncro. I works better than I expected. This is the first time I've used it in the 2 years I've had the van. The problem is that when the AC is on the idle speed jumps from between 800 & 1000rpm to 1500 or 2000 rpm. It will also occasionally start to run ruff like an injector is clogged or something. Turning off the AC at the temp switch stops this. Also the cooling fan runs like someone kicked in the afterburners. I can feal the vibration in the steering wheel. The raising of RPM makes sense to compensate for the drag of the comp. I guess the higher cooling fan speed makes sense too. But I can do without the rough running. Any suggestions from esteemed list members and syncronauts. Blitz |
