Folks, In January I started trying to replace the plastic seat belt buttons on the shoulder belts that had disintegrated with age (16 years). These buttons are small two-piece plastic buttons that mount through the seat belt webbing and keep the buckle at a convenient height when the belt is unbuckled. Both VW dealers in town couldn't find a part number for them on their computers. Anyway, I found the GM cars have a similar button, although somewhat thicker. It's a two piece set with a barb on one that goes through the belt and mates to the second piece on the back side. Chevy part 012453522 for grey and 012453517 for tan. The package calls it a Stop Kit. Used on the Alero (sp?). $8 for 2. Not cheap. There's rumors that the parts series by HELP! used to sell a pack but I haven't found it.
