Ive seen a cut away diagram of the "side impact bars"
in a VWBusbook at Barns+Nobel. It said that these were
for frontal impact as well, keeping the bar in front
of the dash from deforming onto your lap. I heard that
early vanagons arent as safe becouse of this, is this
true?
