Robert, the gist of it is DO NOT SEND E-MAIL MESSAGES IN HTML FORMAT!!

Reset your e-mail program so that e-mail is sent in text format only!!

That is if your e-mail program can be re-set. Some cannot. I don't know about AOL software, but Netscape up to but not including 6.0 can be re-set to text only.
