I've got a Halon unit screwed to the panel just above where the stick shift goes into the floor.

Very interesting! I never would have thought horizontal position ideal. I like the notion of mounting on the passenger seat pedestal, which is handy in an emergency, which is the only time I can imagine using a fire extinguisher! Thanks, Phaedra
