two years ago, in september, we did the trail from Niagara to Detroit on the
canadian side...what a pleasant drive it was, quiet and peaceful, for those
who like this kind of shoreline drive and farms, mostly vineyards,  old
tobacco farms, now soya or peanut farms I think, tomatoes for Heinz in
Leamington, a few ports, birds and ducks, and mostly,  large and clean
provincial  parks,several in fact,  with nobody in them, except old timers,
preparing to immigrate in the south. These parks were so quiet that you did
not talk loud yourself, not to disturb  who?anybody! Water in  lake erie was
amazingly clean for fishing and kayaking or swimming...But this my friend
was in september, when the weather is still very nice, prices are down if
not half, and when the rich and famous do travel??? We are poor, but we
always try to keep sept for our vacation, and my kids do not go to school
anymore...sorry...

You will surely find one camping  at a easy driving distance from niagara,
but for the month of july, well these places must be crowded, and  a good
thing, do not forget that your money is worth 1.6, so enjoy your trip!
