There have been a bunch of coolant filters marketed my different companies.
If you use one at all, make sure that it is a BYPASS filter.  This means
that 100% of the coolant does NOT flow through the filter.  Far better to
have coolant with some sediment flowing through the system than to have the
filter block all flow and blow the engine!  My guess is that it cost less to
flush the system and replace all the coolant every 6 months (hardly
necessary) than it is to use a filter system.
