  Thanks for all the advise re:  my smoking problem.
  I'm going to try the head gasket replacement just ordered the part from the Bus Depot for $2.95 plus shipping and I'm willing to invest a couple of hours hoping it will work.
  If it doesn't work I'll be forced to get a real mechanic involved for real bucks.

  p.s. today i saw a euro-van, looked new, the VR6 label made me drool hmmmm now could i convert that to bio diesel?????..........
