Over time the rubber washer/gasket will desinegrate either from chafing or
UV damage and just make the fastner loose and the resultant wobbling of the
fastner will really ream you a larger hole.  As those bolt thread saw lup
and down and round and round on the fiberglass, well,  you get the picture.
