OK, I admit I also suffer from that psychological quirk which is even stranger since I am a woman. There were these stories I told myself: 0: Where is a good mechanic? 1: You can't trust them anyway. 2: Taking my vehicle there means I'm stuck while it's being fixed. 3: I can do a better job myself. 4: Deep down inside I am a miser as well as a spinster. 5: The metal feels good. 6: I enjoy getting all dirty. But I do this with everything else I own (sewing machines are damnable!).

Anyway, I am impressed by the proportion of us who run MacIntosh, we are truly a perverse bunch!(rather than "eclectic").
