Quite possibly, though I think there's nothing about it on the VWSA website. You could try contacting them directly to ask about this. I have an address for VWSA from July 1999: <vwemaster@icon.co.za> The earlier T3s made in RSA were boxers, I believe both luft & wasser. I've seen what I think must be a South African luftboxer here; it had a 4-round-light grill but this was a different (rather unattractive) style to the current one. It was aircooled. Comments, Lurker Nigel? I'm sure that a lot of tidy Vanagons which have made their way into the wrecking yards would still be on the road with devoted owners if said owners had had the option of the RSA kit. I gather the RSA I5 kit is a bolt-in/plug-in. A few hours' work to fit and drive away. Andrew |
