For those interested in rare, collectable authentic German gear - I will be putting my VW Westfalia awning/ standalone-canopy on Ebay within a week. This is the only example I have ever seen, having been to many VW shows and gatherings over the past 3 years. I've never seen one on any internet site, either. It was factory delivered to a Canadian serviceman in Germany, when he took delivery of his Westy in the early 80's. It can stand over ten feet tall, if so adjusted, can stand alone, fits right up to the Westy with a padded collar, has all original poles, bags etc, is in very good condition - having been stored in a basement for years. I swear it is so big, Karen and I toyed with the idea of having our wedding ceremony under it! (not to be, as I am selling it). Keep your eyes open for it - and I will also notify the list again when it appears on EBay. Marshall Ruskin 84 Westy > I vote for the shadyboy (www.shadyboy.com).
