Hella XL's are not fog lights, but rather auxillary low beams for vans like the 86-91 Vanagon that have horrible low beam lights. To me, the $100 was cheap compared to the $250+ for the illegal in the US E codes. I'm sure the e codes are much brighter than the hellas, but the XL's more than solved my night driving problems.
