The only Opel that came here was rebadged and >slightly reskinned Opel Vectra disguised as Cadillac(little one).

Remember the "Buick Opel" sold in USA in the mid70s? This was a rebadged Isuzu Gemini, which is a Japanese-made RWD Opel Kadett, fitted with Isuzu drivetrain, of course. In Australia it was badge-engineered as Holden Gemini.

The Vauxhall Chevette was a (awfully-made) derivative, and was basically identical except for the front sheetmetal and drivetrain. But it was available as a hatchback; Opel then borrowed the hatch body for the Kadett City.

Dunno whether the wonderful chevrolet Chevette was any relation. Certainly the skin was different.

The Daewoo Celio is a Korean-made mid80s FWD Kadett, which I'm sure is sold there too. Later versions are facelifted, but still recognizable side-on.
