Simple. They don't want it to compete with the Eurovan. All car makers produce models and equipment elsewhere which is not imported here for the same reason. I once worked for Ford of Germany. At the time none of our models were marketed in the U.S. and none of the U. S. models were marketed in Europe. Later the Fiesta was marketed here but several other models were not.
