Subject: A/C leaking inside!
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="US-ASCII"

Hi Listees-

We took about a 10 hour road trip from Greenville, SC up to Washington DC this past weekend. Roxy ran flawlessly (surprise, surprise) but a couple q's about the a/c system came up. Last summer I had the system rebuilt and converted to 134. The mechanic mumbled something about how much of a PITA it was to work on as well as something about rigging the thermostat/ cooling fan switch, but I wasn't really clear on what he meant. After that, whenever I used the A/C, the cooling fan ALWAYS ran simultaneously. Is this supposed to happen? Like on a hot 6-7 hour drive it would basically have to run the whole time! (That seems a little weird to me, but I kept it running anyway...it was HOT!) The other weird thing is that it was really humid, and by the time we were almost back home, it was leaking water (probably all that condensation) profusely from the rear vents and on the side of the A/C housing (inside the bus above the cargo area). Water all over the place...especially around corners! I'm sure the system was designed to drain water, but any guesses on what might be happening up there? I don't want to have to take that whole thing down unless I absolutely have to!

Oh, one more quirky thing - my radiator fan also likes to come on and stay on (I mean stay on until the battery is DEAD/ or I pull the fuse!) whenever it's raining. Is the relay switch located somewhere that it could be getting wet and shorting out or something? Hmmm...

Thanks!
