Subject: Adjusting Adjustable Arm Rest
Content-Type: text/plain; format=flowed

The driver side left arm rest (adjustable) on my '90 is misaligned. It functions normally, but it's too "low," so that when raised all the way, the armrest is about 20 deg. from vertical, and when lowered, it's about 20 deg below horizontal (that's adjusted as high as possible; when adjusted as low as possible, the arm rest will drop below the seat cushion).

The adjusting knob works, and there is the proper "drag" in the movement. It's just as if the armrest is not aligned on the pivot properly.

I started trying to remove the arm rest to reinstall, but I'm not sure that would fix it, since I can't imagine why it would have ever come off to begin with. Is, perhaps, the adjuster knob somehow "engaged" incorrectly?

Any help would be appreciated - especially in taking it off/apart (I was having a heck of a time trying to get the pin out of the pivot for removal.) Squeezing around the armrest to get in and out is getting old.

Thanks!
