If you must have some sort of resistance device, you can try surgical tubing or the rubber resistance bands used by physical therapists. They can be tied to the van, a tree, or any other stationary object and pulled in all sorts of directions. However, coming from someone who used to spend 2-4 hours a day in the gym, I have found that my own body can provide the best workout of all. Push-ups, pull-ups, sit-ups, lunges, squat jumps etc. are a great workout. Want more resistance? Put your backpack or your wife on your back, or pick up a rock, or have your wife hold your feet while you do push ups in a hand stand position. Be creative, thats half the fun! Finally, you can always practice turning the van over from the rear! Cory 84 Westy N. Bridgton, ME

My wife and I like to work out three times a week. However, when we go camping, we don't have access to our equipment, and we miss it. Has anyone figured out a way to get a good resistance training workout while camping? Is there a fairly good, portable (small) substitute for our Bowflex that will fit in the Westy without taking up the whole thing?

If I get this solved, then I can work on how to run the juicer in the Westy. We live in a very empty part of the country, and there is definitely no AC current where we camp.
