I can second Toms experiences with Vredensteins. Had my transport steels on for the last 12 months, very good wet weather grip, didn't load the steering (I do not have power),yes they are slightly noisier than what was on the van before. I don't know what the cost there in the US but I paid NZ$140.00 each, balanced and fitted, this is about US$58.00 dollars each. So I would say the snows should be a good tyre.(but then my Dutch ancestry could be clouding my judgement!!) Just as an observation, from the tyre talk, you guys seem to pay a lot for your tyres in the US, especially considering the high value of the US dollar. Seems maybe someone's profit margin is quite high?
