Greetings (confirmed) Redwood Campers! Just a quick reminder that we'll be camping this coming weekend at Hendy Woods State Park. Last week in my update I gave all pertinent details--but if there's anything I omitted, just ask! Below, thanks to list member Nick Wilson, is the link you need to the official park website. Here you'll find maps & details about the park, etc. When you reach the ranger's station at the park, just let them know you are with the Vanagon group. The ranger's station has a lot of interesting brochures, including a bird list, for any bird watchers among you. Lemon's Market in Philo, just ten minutes before you reach turnoff to the Park, is a good last stop for ice, beer, grub, etc. Remember to bring *warm clothes & bedding for evenings-- & since there is no electricity at the campsites, bring lanterns if you've got them. The campsites have been prepaid by credit card, so I'll collect from each of you on Sunday. Since we're sharing our campsites, the cost will be *low; but I won't know the exact amount per vehicle till heads have been counted. So plan on bringing cash to cover that! Originally, I offered to brew coffee for all, but since there's no power, it's just impossible for me to do it, so plan on your own morning java. Weather's been gorgeous here for weeks--warm, sunny days & cool evenings: perfect. Looking forward to seeing you all Friday! Ciao, Phaedra
