Is there any way to tell if an AC dryer is old or new? The guy who put in my new compressor six weeks ago said he installed a new dryer, but when I pulled it out today with the AC hoses it didn't look very new. The threads on the connectors are rusted and the paper label is smutzed up and worn and torn (which I guess could be from the bracket). Otherwise it doesn't look very dirty, but I don't like the rust. I can't find anything that looks like a date code. The brand name is Parker and there's a number on the label that is either 091003 or 094003, and 129 is stamped into the bottom of the dryer. Thanks, deb |
