Hi gang, My winter-long rust removal project on my Westy is finally over. Got my freshly painted van back on Friday. It looks great!! However, against the fresh paint all the grills, bumper caps, camping outlet covers looked very shabby. I went to Canadian Tire looking for some black paint and found there is actually special 'satin-finish' black automotive paint for plastic trim. I picked up a spray can --- painted all the plastic and re-installed. The van looks great now and I highly recommend this if your plastic bits are looking tired. The one thing I didn't do is the Volkswagen and Vanagon badges on the back hatch. Can anyone tell me how to remove and re-install these??? TIA Doug Alcock '84 Westy Toronto, Canada |
