Subject: FS: 82 Vanagon Diesel (New Price)
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="US-ASCII"

I posted this awhile ago, but have lowered the price as I broke a rear control arm.

82 Vanagon Diesel Light Blue w/black vinyl interior Some body rust, nothing major. 1 crack in rear passenger floor starting to show light through 1.6TD engine from an 85 Jetta 330,000 kms on engine, bottom end rebuild at 300,000 Turbo and injection pump were both replaced from a lower mileage donar 2 New snow tires. 205/75R14. Nordic Wintertrac (1500 kms on them) Reasonably new front tires (185/70R14) 2 Spare 14" Rims with mostly worn tires New front brakes - calipers/pads/rotors (about 7500 kms on them) Replaced clutch m/c and slave approx 1 1/2 years ago. Rear brakes are approx. 2 years old, check recently lots of pad still Driveshafts replaced last winter Class I trailer hitch Needs dr. side rear control arm Needs accelerator cable

I did the conversion about 2 years ago with the TD motor. Has been a good reliable vehicle. The motor could use new mounts though. The TD engine provides plenty of power in town, but could use better gearing for the highway. Towing power is good. I have on occasion used it to tow my 89 Golf race car to the track without any problems. Was able to reach 100 km/hr without any problems. The van also has a diesel heater for the rear passengers, but isn't working right now. The van was EXCELLENT in the snow with the new snow tires.

Price: $1500 Canadian. FIRM. I have probably spend almost twice that.

Jay
