Help! The 84 camper was running fine. I went to start it after letting it sit for a couple of hours and I got a gassy PUT and it didn't kick over. I was on a hill so I roll started it. No power. At the bottom of the hill I could get it to start and idle but if I give it any gas it would choke out and die. I let it sit for several hours - no improvement. I let it sit overnight and Sunday morning it would start, rev up without dying but would choke out if I put it under any power. I was able to get it back in the driveway reving and riding the clutch. This morning I was able to limp it - pumping the gas peddle and riding the clutch until it got up to a bit of speed - then it would go along pretty well until I let off the gas or shifted - then pump, pump pump until it would smooth out.

My mechanic can't look at it until the end of the week so I get to puzzle over it for a few days.

All theories welcome! Please forward them to me off list.

Thanks!
