Subject: ventilation improvements
Content-type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii

Some of this talk of skylights has reminded me to write the list and find out what people have done to improve the ventilation of the westy. I myself am in Florida and it gets really hot and humid around here so it is not always that much fun to camp. I have added a fan in the front and back a hella marine that help tremindessly. The rear fan in in a position that it can swivel around and help blow that cold cold much needed a/c air up front and then around to blow that warm humid musky night air down upon you while sleeping, it does help cool that air down though very nice I will take some pictures.. Then the front is only to help circulate air around so that cold a/c air can reach the front. The fron fan does not do much good with the front window curtiain up as it jsut sucks up the curtain in it blades. I was thinking of adding a fan to the skylight? Solar powered fan? any suggestions? brands? Pictures? Also what have other doen to help cool down the inside. PS I have made some insulation to put in the windows that reflects the radiant heat out. really nice will take som pictures. Bought a roll of the reflectix insulation for around 40 dollars and glued upholstry fabric to the inside part to brighten up the insulation so I would not have to stare at the aluminum foil passe look.. Have the tops with the side screens helped? if so how much? are they worth the cost? Also thought about adding a home a/c to the front window to hang while camping at camp grounds but I would rather solve this without the a/c as I tend to like to camp where I would need a generator to do this while I am anywhere but in florida. IE looking to spend some time in other very warm states where there are actually places you can park over night without paying 20 dollars to do so.. If only Walmart offered electricity and mini-golf.. Ekk sorry it is only monday!

Thanks for the help

- Stephen
