I will answer these the best i can. However, let me
amend my prior info. First, living in Cal., i use
the shadyboy 99% of the time for shade. Rain is not
much of a problem. It did rain lightly on this last
trip. The tarp shedded the water fine, but this might
not be the awning i would want if i camped in rain all
the time. Maybe someone else with rain experience can
chime in. And when i go somewhere where I know there
will be the potential for 70 MPH winds and lots of
rain, I take my stand-alone tarp with 2x4s for supports
and 10 guy ropes. It stood up to the burningman storms
circa 1998-2000! Now on to the questions.

Yes. 5 mins or less

yes. 5 min or less

Can she reach to the top of the sliding door/rain
gutter? If so, then yes. If not, then she could stand
on something.

5 min leisurely. i could do it in 90 seconds i am
sure, maybe less

5 min. could do in 90 seconds if i had to.

1. remove poles. 6 poles, 4 of which consist of two
pieces Time: 1 min to remove, break down. could do
in 30 seconds easy.
2. fold left corner to velcro attachment inside
container. fold right corner to velcro attachment
inside container.
3. you now have a tarp about 3'wide ...lay poles inside
end and roll the whole thing up until it plops into the
container.
4. snap shut all done!

The blue i have is on the thin side, but it is high
quality. i would prefer one grade heavier.

not mnean they are no good!
