Wrong!!! All converted Vanagons(except strange conversions like V6 Buicks, Chevrolet etc, but even those sell) sell rather easy, it's a FACT!, not speculation. Converted Vanagons(engines mainly) will outlast any stock cousins by huge margin, it's one of the main reasons for conversion. People that do convert face some problems as it is something they EXPECT. The end result is still the same, great running, more powerful and long lasting Vanagon for another 20 years...I wish the rest of Vanagon was built as well as those conversion engines...
