I know about the compartment behind the seat directly across the vehicle from the battery compartment under the passenger seat. I keep spare parts and tools in it. But it has a little shelf that goes forward and then there's what looks like about seven inches below that before you reach the floor level. Its sealed from the top, both sides, back and front. I must assume that it is required structurally for the seat, seat belt mounting and all those engineering type things. I think I'll take a chisel and hammer with me next time I go to a bone yard and get a report on this personal mystery so I can shut up or give up.
