I received this feedback and thought is would be interesting to others who consider this system.

Thanks Budd!

Peter,

Just a quick update to tell you that the air springs have been installed on my Syncro in the simplest fashion, without the compressor and gauge (which will be added later). The installation was very direct and fast, taking less than two hours, with the air hose taps hidden behind the license plate.

The results were literally a seat-of-the-pants improvement when set to 20 psi initially. A test drive on a curvy road indicated greater sway resistance on curves. It was harder to determine other improvements in lateral stability. However, on a 700 mile trip with some strong cross winds, the van seemed less buffeted, especially when being passed upwind by semis on two lane roads.

My conclusion is that the improvement in lateral stability is noticeable under all of the typical troublesome conditions. I have not yet had any heavy loads in order to test the load carrying capabilities of the air springs. I do know enough to be very happy with the initial results, and expect to feel even better once I can fine tune on the fly with the onboard compressor and dual controls.

What responses have you had from any of the others involved in this purchase?
