Subject: '85 westy hesitation
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=iso-8859-1

my westy got the bug (finally) and i'm looking for some help in diagnosing it then correcting it.

problem: drives along then loses all power. all power. pressing the gas is an exercise in absolute futility. sometimes it regains power and drives normally. as if something were clogging somewhere and it 'blew' through.

what'd i do: disconected the o2 sensor. flushed fuel system. cleaned up grounds underneath. assuming the afm is that which is directly connected to the air filter, how do i check it? top comes rightly off and all seems to pivot smoothly within.

thanks (as always) for help.

Rik
