Three hundred mile trip on Sat. in Hans ('91 Caravelle, 162K, AT, AC not on...it was cool) yielded 18 MPG. Half of this was with a van LOAD of baby stuff. BTW I tend to drive Hans faster, I don't know why; 2/3 of the trip on freeways @ 70-75 mph, 1/3 on two lanes @ 55-65 mph.

Two days antique trekking this week in Fritz ('84 Westy, 114K, 4spd, no AC we sure needed it!) four hundred miles...exactly 20 MPG. Fritz is always loaded for camping with a full H2O tank. Mostly two lanes and lots of hills and dales...none over 65 mph.
