I have been keeping this stuff to myself, and believe me a lot of VW trauma has been landing here in the Windy.

First, Clementine cooked a valve two weeks ago, and has been sitting at VW for a week, and after a little side trip on the way home from work this evening, I find out the SOB's haven't even started woking on her. In a matter of fact, she hasen't even moved from where I parked her a week ago Tuesday. Not Happy.

Then, this last Tuesday nite on the way home from work, in Delilah, just getting dark out, yakking on the cell phone, I happen to look at the dash for some crazy reason, and see a blinking light on the dash----to my caller I say;---"Got to go the Van is frying"---click. I pull off n a side street and shut the van off, and the interior starts to fill with ethylene glycol steam, and I jump out, go to the back, and open the engine cover, to view in all it's splendor, the snap, crackle, popping, engine. I just happen to have a mixed gallon of coolant, and add it to the main coolant tank, and head for a service station a block away. I fill the tank with as much water as possible, and leave the cap loose, and head for home. It looks as though a hose broke in front of or on top of the trans, so Saturday will be seek and repair day.

PHOOEY !!

Thank God for the lovely Eva, who is now transporting me in a luxurious fashion, waiting to go back into semi retirement, after the VW's are repaired.

It sure pays to have at least 3 vehicles in this neck of the woods !! ( one of a dependable variety :>) ) Especially if a guy is depending on VW's for his mainstay of transportation !!

This has been one hell of a couple of weeks!!

Later,
