If you take a look at the new air-conditioning systems you'll see that they have reduced the clutch pulley size on almost every AC system. They did this because the R134a and replacements, drop ins, etc. Don't cool as good as Freon so they spin the compressor faster to compensate for this.

Don't just keep adding R134a you'll blow a hose or the system will freeze in the miniture valves that are in the system. If your compressor begins to rattle you're in trouble.

If you're 7 degrees below the center output reccomended temperature then your system is working properly with R134a.

You can upgrade your compressor with the smaller clutch/pulley will once again reach 66 or lower at your center outlet.
