Subject: Tires... (I don't want to flog a dead horse, but...)
Content-type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii

When I see "Tires" in the subject line, it's been my fancy to hit the delete key without even reading the e-mail. I'm sure many on this list do the same thing.

Well, shame on me. Now I need tires for Phred and I'm completely uninformed and ignorant.

Vanagon.com suggests the Michelin MXT, which are presently on Phred. I tried to search the archives but have timed out a few times. A phone call the the local Michelin dealer tell me they are are no longer available. Okay. How 'bout the Agilis? Nope. Not in your size.

So off I go to the Michelin web site. Inputting vehicle information, their site recommends the RainForce MX4. Well that's different. Off to Tirerack.com. They don't even list a 205/70R14 tire for the Vanagon.

So, if there are any non-Westy, Wolfsburg or Carat owners out there with tire recomendation I love to hear them. So as not to incite a flame war, I'd appreciate a response via p-mail.

Thanks for your help.

Alan Bosch & Phred ('88 Wolfsburg)
