Subject: Tiico conversion issues....

Steve, Adam et al. (in a decidedly polite tone) I bought my van BECAUSE of the conversion. I had been looking with the intention of buying one with a bad motor to convert. But, when one came up WITH the conversion, I jumped! The seller said they got a lot of interest in the Van. in fact, I was second in line and I got it when the first buyer fell through.

I ended up with a EUROSPEC, not my first choice but still... a VW engine in a VW van(nothin' against you Subie guys. I loved my Subie before the van). I put up with a few 'problems' in order to by the van (minor body dents, blown air conditionong compressor, leaky exhaust, non-wolfy interior) I still think I got a good deal.

Steve, I understand the 'keep it stock' perspective. I used to own only Canon photo equipment. Its like my keeping everything VW.

Anyway, my point is, I passed up another van with the interior I wanted to get the I-4 motor. I figured the interior would be cheaper to install than the motor. My mechanic is suitably impressed, so, i'm reassured that going with someone elses conversion was a good deal for me.

Cory
