Neal, I been using R-409 for about 5 years, ever since R-12 becme monitarily impossible. A buddy of mine in Kentucky, who is in the heating and air conditioning business, turned me on to it, and it works as good, if not better than 12, at just about the same pressures. Did you have to buy it in a 30lbs. bottle? I haven't found it in 1 lb. cans yet, and don't think it comes in small quanities. This is the downfall of having to load up, in a large quanity with it. I think it cost me about $200.00 per 30 lbs. Good luck, and the 409 is good stuff.
