The cup holder to which I refer, original on my '81, and still a VW item for several years after that at least, has NO rings that pop up, and no springs. It is a single piece of plastic, and is 13" long, 6" deep, 1" high on the windshield side, and 3" high on the side facing the passengers. It is designed to sit on top of the dash right next to the instrument cluster. It has two compartments for cups/cans, and several others for other items. I have a digital photo, and I will post the link as soon as my web host gets their FTP server working so I can upload it. In the meantime, I would be glad to pmail a copy of the photo to anyone interested. Bill ----- Original Message ----- From: "Benjamin Tan" <BenTbtstr8@AOL.COM>
