A couple of weeks ago, I put a new fuel pressure regulator on my 1984 1.9L WBX. After I started van up, I had to turn the idle screw CCW a turn or so to keep the idle up. The next morning on the way to work, I was doing about 60 mph with light throttle and all of a sudden, engine speeds up and sounds much better. After a minute or so, it went back to "normal". These surges of "power" are becoming more frequent. Generally set in 45 to 60 mph at light throttle. Any ideas on what is going on? John Lauterbach Macon, GA |
