My 87 westy's coolant temperature gauge warning light has been flashing. After about 45 freeway miles, the light began flashing. I pulled over, checked the coolant levels and v-belt and the fan, all was seems fine. The needle on the temp gauge was not riding past the half way point. I don't think the engine was overheating. Is there a sensory component that could be haywire? As soon as I turn off/restart the engine, the light stops blinking for about 45-100 miles. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
