        I contacted the NC State Park bureaucrats about the "alleged"
illegal search by the Ranger. His manager called me back after
interviewing him. He says the ranger only peered through the screen on my
tent and did not enter and search my vehicle, tent or cooler. He
reportedly has another ranger as witness. My neighbors were fellow VW bus
owners so I will try and track them down.

                A word of warning: If this ranger visits your site and
you have beer he will make you pour it out with the threat of a citation.
Alcohol IS prohibited in state parks. Everybody knows that but I have
NEVER witnessed anything like the display last weekend.
