Tobin: Before doing anything so drastic please check that the drill is turning the right way AGAIN. Some drills are very easy to inadvertently hit the direction switch. I think if you had the drill "bogged down" the system is OK and there are no holes in your pickup tube. You might consider tourning it fast by hand with the plug out. Rachel
