lemme see here now ...

1988 Vanagon GL 7-passenger, 4-speed, with Weekender Package (fold-down rear seat), power mirrors, air conditioning, cruise control, am/fm/cassette stereo radio, and rear window washer/wiper ... $20,364.00 brand new in 1988. it now has some dings and scratches and 145,000 miles.

1987 Vanagon Camper GL, 4-speed, with air conditioning, power mirrors, and rear window washer/wiper ... $7800 used in 1998. it now has 183,000 miles on it. still working on fixing some of the 'improvements' by the previous owners (like the stupid bigass stereo with 12-inch woofer that takes up all the storage space under the rear seat!). :(

1991 Vanagon Carat, automatic, with air conditioning, power mirrors, am/fm/cassette stereo radio, and rear window washer/wiper ...$4500 used in 2000. still working on fixing some of the neglect of the previous owner. :( but it runs well ... and has 126,000 miles on it.

thinking about an 87-91 syncro to play in the mud, and replacing the camper with a 89-91 automatic Multivan. maybe. someday. when i get a bigger house/garage/lot. :)
