I towed a 2wd Vanagon 180 miles on a U Haul dolly. Tow vehicle was an 86 Jeep Grand Wagoneer. Very capable. Keep it at 55-60. And re-cinch the front wheel nylon belts after about 25 miles due to settling (VERY important). You will also have zero rear vision due to the combined heigth of the dolly and van. Good side mirrors are very important. Give your self a lot of stopping room. Remember your high school physics of mass x velocity = inertia (divided by Dow Jones Index squared by what's on the radio-but you get the idea) -s seattle
