More viscosity! If 20W50 seems excessive to you, at least try 15W40. Not all FLAPS have it, but it's getting easier to find. Rotella-T from Shell is one example.

Mobil 1 synthetic seems to have finally quieted my sticking lifter. Can't be certain since its only been about a month. Rather expensive to use it on your oil change schedule.
