Subject: No Vanagon Content: Help Save Speedvision
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1"

Hi everyone. I'm sorry that this one has no Vanagon content (I'll try and tie it in...), but it couldn't wait until Friday.

I'd imagine I'm not the only Vanagon driver who enjoys the Speedvision network. However, as discussed at http://charlotte.bcentral.com/charlotte/stories/2001/06/25/story1.html, there is a motion to change Speedvision to something that is not desirable to many. In the interest of saving bandwidth, I'll just ask you to please read the article in this link if you don't want Speedvision to cover NASCAR only.

If you feel as I do, please visit http://www.petitiononline.com/svsn/petition.html and sign the petition. Thank you - I greatly appreciate it.

Here's the best I can do for a Vanagon tie-in: I'm a kart/road racer, and I use my Vanagon to haul my racing gear to the track. And that type of racing is only available to watch on Speedvision. : )

I apologize again if this is inappropriate, but I really feel strongly about this and thought perhaps some other listees did as well. I tried to follow the List's netiquette by announcing No Vanagon Content, so hopefully you guys won't hate me.

Chris
