Remove the oil filter mounting where it mounts to the block with a gasket,(you should have the filter, mounting base, oil cooler off) take a turkey baster or pump type oil can and prine it with STP down that hole, put everything back together. Crank it up! You should have oil pumping. If you dont have preasure within 45 seconds of the engine starting------- shut it down!

I know you're talking about a Diesel.
