I have a Haltech system on my 87 Quantum Syncro turbo. You will get over the hump. It will be difficult and I am not sure it is worth it either. On my conversion I needed the extra room in the engine bay. Besides the previous owner installed it all. I just had to re- do alot of it. If you can get ahold of Haltech in Australia they are alot more helpful. Australia is where they come from. I bought a manual from the Texas guys and got a xerox version so small you couldn't read it. The Aussies sent me a full size original. Good luck on your project. At least it is cool to get to say you do your tuning on a lap top. hope this helps, Craig the Gorge VW club gorgevwclub.com
