Subject: oil pan bolt(threaded insert)
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii

Does anybody have any experience with getting a threaded insert to remain permanently in place? About every 4th oil change the insert comes out with my oil plug. Each time I have drained the pan completely and cleaned all threads with denatured alcohol, then liberally coated the threads with red lock-tite and reinserted. I yearn for a permanent solution!
