Tim Smith's exit is regrettable but understandable. To each his own way. I find the intolerance and sensitivity on this depressing as I have said, but, fortunately, my household insurer has let me purchase a full replacement warranty on the Delete key functionality on my keyboard. Just love those mercury switches!

His comments on the vendors requires comment. I have no problem with Ron, Ken, Steve and others charging a discounted price lying between dealer, FLAPS and wholesale. They are often trying to make a living after all. If their prices are too high, I'll buy elsewhere. In general, I'll buy the same OEM or replacement part (same - means same so quality is not compromised) from whomever will sell it to me for the least, and get it to me in a reasonable time. If I get burned consistently (more than two out of four purchases) by waiting so long for delivery that I forgot I ordered the part, then I'll not return for any item. Being in the LA area, surrounded by cutthroat parts sellers, numerous dealers, excellent salvage yards and the recycler, my view is probably different from most.

But frankly, what I really need is a good machinist with a FAX and/or email access who will accept a CAD drawing, cut and execute and ship for a fair price. Running out of time and eyesight to do it myself!
