There is *much to be learned, just reading comments offered to other list members re their Vanagon issues. I always figure if it's not my problem *today, likely it soon will be! Remember that while p-mail has it's place, for socializing, jesting, etc--it's good to offer those bits of mechanical wisdom to the *whole list!

Take, for example, a p-mail I got today from Sharks, suggesting that I ask my mechanic to loosen the fill plug on the tranny, which can be difficult to do, *then drive home & drain & fill my van with Redline--without the possible resultant trauma.
